This program has been designed for any workplace that has more than 20 people employed. Having a JHSC is a legal requirement under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Organizations need to have a committee, consisting of at least two members (one worker member and one management member) who have completed a CPO - approved JHSC certification course.
This training gives employees and managers the opportunity to become certified members of their JHSC. Upon course completion the trainees will be equipped with the Health and Safety tools they need to assist them in making a positive contribution to their workplace Health and Safety program.
