The SDV-BS (Small Domestic Vessel – Basic Safety) is a Transport Canada-approved marine safety course (formerly known as MED A3) designed for operators and crew of small commercial vessels within specified voyage limits. It focuses on emergency response, survival, firefighting, and abandonment procedures rather than vessel operation.
